The Challenges
The client's legacy Oracle Demand Planning platform was being phased out, creating an urgent need for robust integration between KetteQ and Oracle Supply Planning Cloud. Without it, supply chain responsiveness and accuracy were at risk.
Key challenges included:
Manual Forecast Transfers – Without integration, forecasts had to be loaded manually, creating delays and errors.
Calendar Misalignment – Oracle's default 4/5/5 calendar caused forecasts to shift away from the dates generated in KetteQ. This misalignment risked confusion for planners and inaccurate supply decisions.
Inconsistent Accuracy – Without standardized templates, forecasts were prone to formatting errors and required rework.
Slow Planning Cycles – Manual processes stretched planning cycles, reducing agility in responding to demand shifts.
Operational Risk – Any delays in forecast loading directly impacted procurement and production planning.
The client needed a fully automated, calendar-aligned, and reliable integration to ensure forecasting accuracy and maintain agility.
The Solution
We designed a hybrid approach where KetteQ served as the forecasting platform and Oracle Supply Planning Cloud acted as the planning engine, connected through robust Oracle Integration Cloud processes.

Automated Forecast Data Flow
Designed scheduled OIC integrations to extract, transform, and load forecasts from KetteQ into Oracle Supply Planning
Used Oracle's FBDI-compatible CSV templates for standardization
Calendar Alignment
Configured a custom calendar in Oracle EBS, synced with Oracle Planning Cloud
Ensured forecast data from KetteQ displayed on the exact same dates in Oracle, eliminating discrepancies
Error Handling & Monitoring
Built validation checks, automated file compression, and ESS job execution
Added error handling and audit logs for greater reliability
Future-Ready Design
Leveraged modular OIC components for reusability
Designed integrations to support scalability as forecasting needs evolve
