About the Client

A privately held US based global leader in manufacturing office and workspace solutions, offering products that enhance productivity, organization and workplace well-being. With a history of innovation spanning over a century, the company provides shredders, laminators, binding machines, ergonomic accessories, air purifiers, and other solutions designed to create safer, more efficient, and comfortable work environments worldwide.

The Challenge

The company’s manufacturing operations automation involved multiple work centres where some tasks could run in parallel. But Oracle ERP’s rigid sequential processing rules blocked the closure of any operation until its predecessor was complete.

This created unnecessary delays and forced manual workarounds like ad-hoc reservations which were error-prone, time-consuming, and prone to data inconsistencies.

KPI Targets: Speed, Accuracy, and Zero Manual Overrides

  • Reduce average operation closing time by 40%

  • Achieve 100% data accuracy for operation status

  • Eliminate all manual override requests

The Solution

  • Mapped operational flows to identify parallel processing Automation opportunities

  • Designed an Oracle Visual Builder Studio UI embedded within Oracle ERP

  • Developed a “logical completion” workflow allowing eligible operations to be marked ready, even if predecessors weren’t closed

  • Automated dependency checks via OIC-scheduled integration to complete operations the moment sequence rules were satisfied

  • Automated Pack 99/98 operation closures using OIC lookup parameters

  • Created detailed audit trails for both logical and system completions

  • Minimized user disruption, automated repetitive tasks, and built in robust error handling

  • Trained shop floor teams for seamless adoption

What the Client said......

The parallel processing automation let us align Oracle with our production reality, saving hours each week and reducing errors. Our teams can now focus on quality, not on system workarounds.
